It's convenient, easy to install, easy to use, portable; so what is the concern over WiFi?

Recently there have been many articles written about the potential health hazards of low level radiation like WiFi. Experts in the scientific community however seem to be divided on the possible negative impacts of WiFi technology. With this controversy brewing, some are not taking any chances. Lakehead University in Thunder Bay Ontario, has initiated limited access Wireless zones. WiFi will only be available in areas where students do not have access to the campus fiber optic network. The University feels that by reducing the WiFi access, it is limiting the student exposure to any negative effects of this technology. Carleton University and Concordia University are also considering limiting the access of WiFi zones. According to Health Canada ongoing research is being conducted that could soon shed some light on this topic. A similar controversy it seems, around cellular phone usage has been going on for years with no definite safety conclusions. So is WiFi technology safe? In life there is a saying about "too much of a good thing", lets hope that these technologies are found to be safe, so they can continue to better our life.
